Snowy Evenings Like These Call For Hot Texas Chili!

I haven't posted a recipe lately and, since I'm so looking forward to dinner tonight, I thought I'd share my Texas Chili recipe with you. I made a big pot yesterday for our Super Bowl get together, but our wonderfully generous friends brought so much other yummy food that we were too stuffed to get to the chili. Needless to say, I was pretty happy that I didn't have to worry about dinner for tonight, especially since I spent a large part of my morning at the ER with my middle daughter while the Dr. stitched up her forehead. (Older sis opened a door into her head. Oops...)
One of my favorite things about this recipe is that is really inexpensive to make and it lasts the five of us more than one meal!

Shell's Texas Chili

2 lbs. ground beef ($3.54)
1 can Chili Fixin's Rotel Tomatoes ($0.37)
1 can Tomato Sauce ($0.37)
1 can black beans, drained and rinsed ($0.67)
1 can chili beans ($0.67)
1 envelope Albertson's chili seasoning ($0.33)

Total - $5.95

Brown ground beef. Drain.
Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Simmer over medium low heat for 30 to 45 minutes.
Yum...
